Bench My Rig ("we", "us") operates the free PC gaming tools at benchmyrig.com. This policy explains what information the site does and does not handle. The short version: our tools run entirely in your browser, we do not require accounts, and we do not sell data.
What we do not collect
- No accounts, sign-ups, names or passwords.
- The hardware you select in the requirements checker, PSU calculator or FPS test is processed in your browser and never transmitted to us.
- We run no analytics scripts and set no advertising cookies at the time of this policy's last update.
What is processed
Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and reliability. These are kept by the host under its own retention rules and are not used by us to identify visitors.
Browser storage. We use your browser's localStorage for two functional preferences: your dark/light theme and your cookie-consent choice. These stay on your device, are not cookies sent to any server, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Details are in the cookie policy.
Third-party CDN. One page (the requirements checker) loads the Three.js graphics library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com on desktop browsers. Your browser makes that request directly, so Cloudflare receives the standard technical data any web request contains. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for how it handles logs.
Advertising (future)
We plan to fund the site with display advertising. If and when ad code is added, this policy and the cookie policy will be updated first, and — for visitors in regions where consent is required — advertising cookies will not be set unless you choose "Accept all" in the consent banner. You can reopen that banner any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information. Because we hold no accounts and no visitor database, in practice there is usually nothing for us to look up — but you can contact us about any privacy question or request at hello@benchmyrig.com and we will respond.
Children
The site is general-audience PC gaming content and is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes (such as adding advertising) will also be reflected in the consent banner.
